Which Gateway Should I Choose?

Most services simply force you to use the gateway service that they have chosen for you (for which they receive a cut).  But that’s not our model!  We believe in giving you choice where it is available – and this also means that we can service more countries.  To search for a list of gateway options in your country use the tool on the right!

Getting passed the Gateway setup screen is a barrier for many.  This is usually because people don’t already have a gateway and have no idea which one to choose.  Look at our list of recommendations below.

If you don’t already have a gateway here are some great suggestions.

What do you recommend?

We recommend Forte Payments for ACH and credit card processing.  Forte’s monthly fees are very low and their credit card commissions are just above interchange.

It is hard (and/or expensive) for many businesses to get approved by the banks for Direct Debit.  If you are one of the fortunate few we can support you with our trading bank upload files (using the generic ABA file format).  However, if you have not been approved by the bank, we highly recommend Ezypay and EziDebit.  They can do both Direct Debit and Credit Cards and offer simple fee structures with no monthly fees and low minimums.

We recommend Forte Payments for Pre-Authorized Debits and credit card processing.  Forte’s monthly fees are very low and their credit card commissions are just above interchange.

Right now we only support Payment Express and Stripe for Credit Cards in the UK.  Payment Express is a direct merchant account where you will pay a variable rate per transaction (interchange plus a percentage).  Stripe charge a flat fee, which is higher than the variable rate, but with lower fees and monthly charges. If you have customers in Europe then you can also use SEPA Direct Debits.  You will need a bank account in Euros and your bank needs to participate the in the SEPA DD scheme and is capable of receiving the SEPA DD XML file format.
Most countries in Europe can use Stripe for Credit Cards. In addition, we support the SEPA Direct Debit scheme.  Some banks interpret the rules slightly differently so there is a lead time if you are using a bank that we haven’t worked with before.

We Integrate with Netcash (formerly SagePay), which offers Debit Order processing from Bank Accounts and Credit Cards.

Right now we don’t have much to offer you I’m afraid.  If Stripe is available in your country then you can use that.  Otherwise get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Your preferred gateway or country not listed?

Don’t panic!
We are evaluating new integrations all the time – but most of them are on a market demand basis.  If you country is not supported or your preferred gateway is not yet integrated feel free to use the Contact Us page to give us some details.  We’ll let you know if there has been enough interest and where we are in the process.
